- The software that comes with the camcorder should be able to
combine clips but I only used it once, very long ago. It's way too simple for any 'real' editing. The cheapest Sony Vegas version is a good start - you can always upgrade later.
- thank you. maybe the corel's ulead dvd movie factory se that
came with the package got no capability to combine the clips into one clip for youtube.
- I'm not really sure what you mean. Regular editing software
like Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro will let you add different clips to a timeline which you can then render as one clip for Youtube.
- i need help. how will you combine numbers of video clips for
one video show for youtube release? Thank you.
- It's amazing how the picture doesn't get too distorted when
you zoom to the full extent.
- i like the song and im getting the camera
- that's what you call a music over there, interesting, ...
- Hvem jeg er, er ingen hemmelighed - se min profil-side :)
- All Right, where you from? Your music are made by the Danish
DJ trentemøller. I am danish, and i love him. And i love your camera. I got the same one!
- The camcorder comes with some very basic Corel software.
It's good enough if you just want to upload simple videos to Youtube. However, I'd recommend one of the cheaper Sony Vegas packages as a minimum. It's now possible to upload HD videos to Youtube but also have a look at Vimeo dott com.
- is there software that comes with this camera so that i can
put these videos on youtube? or what exactly did you do?... btw this looks great any help is apreciated
- Nice song. [ Vamp - Trentemoller, Album: The Last Resort

I am excited about my new Panasonic SD9 that's going to arrive soon. I've been looking at some stunning HD footage and the HD cameras are soooo nice.
- im getting one to decorate my house with. :)
- Nothing was slowed down. I just moved very slowly :)
The
HG10 was set to Auto mode, so I have no idea what settings it was using. It was totally dark, so this is not that representative of what the HG10 can do. Few people use a camcorder in total darkness. I had just received it that day and since it was February and in Denmark, total darkness starts at around 4.30pm. This was shot at 10pm.
- Everything looked slowed down:( Did the camera do it itself
or was that done in editing?
- Great camera. I still have old tape camcorder and a low
budget ($ 150 usd) digital minicamera.
- har en mac med final cut express 4.. så det blir nok ikke
noe problem.. vurderer å kjøpe canon hg10 eller hf10=D
- Yes, I'm satisfied with my HG10 - Are you thinking about
getting one yourself?
If so, you might want to look at the HV30/20 as well. Having to change tapes every 20 minutes can be a pain but the HV30/20 has a slightly sharper image and the files are much easier to edit/render on a computer. The AVCHD format (mpeg4) is much harder for a PC to work with than the mpeg2 format of the HV30/20.
You need to make up your mind about these differences.
- Are you satisfied with the camera?
- omg I'm so stuck right now, i cant change my file format and
adobe premiere cant open my footage...does anybody can help me please? any input would be nice! thanks guys...
- In my video I wrote 24p. However I'm using a PAL version of
the HG10, so in fact it's 25p for me - since I live in Denmark, Europe.
- The framerate while recording will always be fixed at 24/25
frames pr. second in p-mode (progressive) and 25/30 frames pr. second i i-mode (interlaced) - ?/? = PAL/NTSC.
- If you where thinking of doing high speed or low speed
recording, you will need a much more expensive camcorder. However, with the HG10 (and other camcorders) you can slow down and speed up the footage when you edit it - people walking slowly or a snail speeding along.
- The NTSC version (North America) records in 24p or 60i while
the PAL version (Europe) records in 25p or 50i. P is for progressive and I is for interlaced. You can set the camcorder to a time value of 1/6, 1/12, 1/25, 1/50, 1/120, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 but that will not change the framerate though.
- i know it can record at 24fps (frames per second) but can it
record at higher frame rates? Help Please!
