- How in the world did you know that? I can't even pronounce
fanciulla. Thanks for the info. You're great!
- The duet being sung during that scene from Moonstruck was O
soave fanciulla from La Boheme. It was sung in the film by Renata Tebaldi and Carlo Bergonzi.
- What is the name of the song that Netrebko sang in the movie
"Moonstruck?" The one that was playing when Cher was walking back home from Ronnie's house after a night at the Opera.
- I love them too.Why sould i watch this video if i dont love
them?I have nothing aginst them.I only said, there were some mistakes. That can happen in any live event. Also happened to some greater names too.Ive thanked for posting the video, and this nice show.Only my poor, "unknown" ear says, something is wrong on 00:44,00:50 at least. And Anna sang a little faster on 01:30-38.This is my last reply to this video. I love anyone and anything near to opera. But not the fanatic deafs.(i dont mean u)
- Vargas is a very good tenor, sometimes singing a heavy
repertoire for him, I saw him in Ballo in Masquera and sung very well. About this version and Traviata, to sing Traviata well the singer should be trained in bellcanto as Callas o MAgda Olivero was, to many fiorituras and conbination of Verdi tech/vocal effects that he " created". I really do not want to listen Brithman and Paul Pots version of Traviata.
- There are known knowns. There are things we know that we
know. There are known unknowns.
Im not in a race with them. If you like, call them better than pavarotti. Its your problem. Also they might be better as well. But its certain, they fail on this video. Show a little respect or find a new ear and brain.
- They are well known you are unkwown.
- Great clip, the four of them just work so well together. In
particular Elina and Anna complement each other perfectly
- Thanx for the great information. Their names dont mean
anything more than "red dressed" or "fat" to me. Actions speak louder than the names..
- You don't even know their names ??? The woman with red dress
is called Elina Garanca and the "fat man" is called Ramon Vargas...
- Bello!
- Ma..il tenore non dovrebbe essere idealmente un giovane,
dalla voce fresca, agile, limpida e squillante? Caruso era particolare, un'eccezione e si può capire, ma gli altri? Secondo me oggi è rimasto solo J. D. Flores!
- Please!!!
where can I to by this DVD??? And what the name of
this DVD concert????
Tank you!!!!
Gil.
- lei nn è di sicuro la mia cantante preferita pur essendo
molto molto brava ed emozionante. Comunque io ho solo una considerazione da fare. Quanto cazzo è gnocca la netrebko?!
- come on, they were ok, maybe a little drunk or something ;P
but anyway it was great! 5S.
- I don't agree with you about Anna!Because I think only Anna
and Garanca sing are well here! But agree about men!yea I don't like how they sound!not for Brindisi!
- Mooorhe : you seem so attached to the past that you could
not see the good things around you anymore. To me, the future of opera is bright with fine young singers and smart opera managers around.Recently all performances of La Boheme at the MET with Georghiu & Vargas were sold out, about 4,000 tickets per show, and a movie of it has also been shown in theaters around the world. Opera is a living art performed by the living for the living. Ramon Vargas compares very well with tenors in any era.
- Magnifico pena que a plateia cagou o pau batendo palmas
durante.
- A building full of earless people. How can u stand up for
this poor performance. Only the red dressed woman is ok. Fat man is very bad, very detuned. The other man is so so but not good enough. Anna is bad also. Syncronization problems with orchestra. She sang a little faster than orch. Anyway, nice show, thanks for posting.
- Vargas does gave some colour, but it doesn't compare to the
tenors of the past, which is a shame, as i see no future for the art of opera now.
- The tenor's vocal color here is DARK , burnished bronze. Try
RCA recording of Rossini's TANCREDI in which Vargas displayed for posterity his fantastic shades of silver, gold and bronze. Color blindness of the ears seems to be prevalent these days, specially when it comes to this artist's singing. I wonder why.
- The tenor has no colour at all.
- Me encanta ver a personas que no dicen cosas malas sobre
Netrebko :-P
- semplicemente il migliore!
