- I really like your videos, but unless they ask tons of these
questions (to reuse the lookup table), then you could just take 2^(32-(subnet number))-2 and that is the number of hosts.
Therefore, 2^(32-29)-2 = 2^3 -2 = 6, seemse much quicker, but without the lookup table you presented I probably would have never thought about that.
- perfect & easy & quite cool =)
- Disagree - you want to be CCNA, you need to know this stuff
inside out.
- The method works and is presented in a style that is about
%1000 superior to %95 of youtube videos availalbe IF you can even find one on this subject so if you rate this you should rate it relative to other youtube video i.e. 5 star
- hahaha, i agree
these r of great help for my ccna :)
- Who here is CCIE raise your hand. If not shut up and be
glad for this free video.
- So that the broadcast and network addresses are not being
counted on the number of hosts.
:)
- On what basis is the 2 used to subtract 2,4,8? at the end
of the vid
- some of the first videos are great , but has an introduction
to the CCNA course its very confusing , it seems like your making people think they need to know to much for somthing simple which is more off puting then infomational.
- thanks soleilenveierge Im new to CCNA and i found this video
confusing. Your explanation is a faster way to arrive at the solution.
- I think the previous posters are missing the point that his
method can be used to answer any question of this type. I don't think he's advocating you write out the full table to answer one question, but rather to have it available as a resource to answer multiple questions of this type.
- This is an RIDICULOUS explanation that can only confuse
anyone who wants to understand the concept !!!!!! Six minute of an explanation that takes really 20 seconds. 32-29 = 3 bits. 3 bits gives 8 possibilities -network - broadcast = 6.
All your other videos are good. You explain well but this one is a big mess.
- I m sorry, simple you can said
32 bit - 29 = 3
3 bit for a
host mean 2^3 -2
witch is 0 to 6
but thank you your videos are excelent!!
I lear much with it.
Congratulations.
