   bless the Land of Sindh and Sewan. Lal Meri is what is
   refering to the red robed Sufi saint Qalandar.

   to God Almighty in Sindhi/Seraiki Language. Jhooley Lal does
   not refer to Hazrat Shahbaz Qalandar.

12. actually - Nur Jehan and Runa Laila sang this lot earlier
    and are much better singers. Noor Jehan technically better
    but I prefer vocals of Runa Laila.

    ali khan....n so on just search those names on u tube...u

    was a good one....havent really heard much from them
    lately...most of the "up" families of Punjab were muslim and
    the real good quality punjabi music moved to the other side,
    and what we have now is truck driver punjabi songs from
    refugee ( panah gir ) sikhs... [ NO Offence to Sikhs ]
21. i can understand y these singers r popular even in
    india...infact they sing with purity,its not like a noice of
    lolly pop songs n nakid dancing girls in background(european
    style) but its really pure sub contenent's classical
    music....i hope u would kno abt Patiaala n shaam churaasi
    gharana(ustad amant ali etc) n also ustaad taari khan tabla
    nawaz etc....thts wht is the class n purity on which music
    has its basis.... not wht i already have
    indicated.... regards

    yeah, Ustad Nusrtad Fateh Ali Khan and Rahet Fateh A.K. are
    loved here...especialy Ustad Nustrat...and then Ghulaam Ali
    is another big name....there are soo many others as well,
    most devout hindus, especially rajputs love sufi songs...i
    mean not the rock n roll versions...

    Laal Shehbaaz Qalandar was a sufi saint...n his title is
