- Yes, it does take a fair amount of breath to play the
panpipes, more than flute. I think that puts a lot of people
off learning the panpipes. (*When I REALLY am practicing
heavily, I've occasionally gotten what the maker of my
panpipes referred to as 'the full-on tingles' - my whole
body gets that 'arm going to sleep' tingly sort of feeling
all over. But, like he also said, you have to work HARDER
the next time to get it! Sigh..... it's been a while! :( ;)

- Very heavenly. Does it take alot more air to play a
panpipe, than to play a regular flute. It sounds like it
might?
