Comments on '"Hey Govind Hey Gopal" a Bhajan by Jagjit Singh' |
- Guru Nanak written the Bhajan: who sung: andha-kūpa
mahābhayānaka
nānaka pāra tāra (jī)
In the veil of darkness which is very dangerous, you are the redeemer and the lord of the life of Guru Nanak.
- i love it!it is so peacefull!
- After the basic lines, the verse is "Andha koop maha bhayan,
nanak paar utara." meaning the dark blind well (symbolic of death) is very frightening, nanak prays that deliver me across.the 1st verse is prananath anathpatye, deen dard nivar. hey samrath agamye puran (all powerful, agamye - one who came first, puran - ever complete) .hope this helps, hare krishna.
- Thats a good one gj. Do you know that actual sanskrit
shlok?
- does anyone know the words? I cant quite make out some of
the words.
- all of you gone mad.......................tumhe sirf bahana
chaiye tha asal mein tum sab maya se is had tak control ho chuke ho tum god se pyar karna bhi bhul gaye
- All of you are innocents.. whether shri Guru ji call him
gobind or gopal they simply call upon God
Krishna himself said in Gita
who sees only me in everybody he is only gyani in this world
Jai Shri Krishna
Jai Guruji ki
- Why do people cry on the basis of religion.
There is one
God,
He is called by different names by his lovers in affection.
And he also takes a visible form - like to save Prahalad he came and it is mentioned in Gurbani and also at other places.
Sri Ram,Gobind, Sri Krishn,Waheguru,Allah are all same.
The fight between people because of different names is idiotic and they are simply illiterate.
- Hey Veer ji, do you know which raag it was in Guru Granth
Sahib Ji?
- This bhajan is from Guru Granth Sahib. a beautiful shabad
for those who dont know.
- Its a matter of faith one may believe in any of the god but
if he is a real beliver he will have wisdom to respect others and not to comment on others faith.
So Amar I think you need to think beyond your mind and respect your own culture which teaches you to respect other religion.
Jai Shri Ram ...........
- such a nice bhajan!
- Gracias
- its for everyone apart from muslims and christians
- there is only one god who is Creator & distroyer himself.
others are just his forms. But my friend this shabad was sung by 5th Guru Guru Arjun Dev ji just for that Almighty One God and not for Krishna (king of Mathura). RAM, SHIV, GOVIND, GOPAL,NARAYAN,etc are all names given to that one almighty God. Sikhism is religion which deals directly with that almighty God Rather then Devees & Devtaas. kindly think beyond your mind.
thank you
- exllent no words
it soul sooting
- I love it, pictures are just so beautiful.
- very nice,thankyou.
- The dogs bark but the caravan moves on. Haribol!
- Krishna is Supreme lord, he is beyond any religion.if you
still dont listen what guru maharaj wanna say "hey govind hey gopal"
- hey dear simonsandhar, This gurbani or bhajan are not
limited to any religion, region or person. Its for all who ever recites this is enlightened by bliss of Almighty. and its said " It do not matter which path you take all path's leads to me" Shri Krishna and i am sure same is said my guru maharaj ji through this verses. JAI SHRI KRISHNA,JAI GURU MAHARAJ "Hey Govind Hey Gopal"
- good
- really love dis one...thankyou for posting
- Hare Krishna!!
- Krishna consiousness is for everyone, just chant the holy
names of God.
