- This is pretty cool. I know that even something this short
had to have taken a lot of effort. I've had extremely
limited experience with 3-d animation. I use something
called BLENDER when I do it. It's a free program. Although I
know different animation programs do different things, you
have any good tips for stuff like this?
- so baking the the elements in would've had accomplish
anything then? So 3d proxy rendering wouldn't apply here
or
is 3d proxying only for re-modeling the models? Livewire-
- I was lazy. one shot. mostly because separate and then
putting them back together...would have taken more time.
The separate renders would have taken longer than if I'd
rendered the elements separately... don't ask... I doanoe.
And then compositing the shots would have taken me longer
than the hour to put the cuts together.. I rendered each
cut separately.. and then put the cuts together... but each
shot was a one time through.
- how was the rendering layer done? Was they separate layers
and put back together using max as the video composite
editor? Or just rendering as only one shot. Livewire-
- 512 mb videocard
4gig ram
duocore processor.
I didn't use
any plugins.
- what your system spec and what type of plugin was use vray
or final render? Livewire-
- *thinks* maybe ten modelling and texturing. then....
*thinks some more* about 20 give or take to plot out the
animation.... then about another 50 hours just letting the
computer render ^_^...but I let it render while I was at
school... or at work... or asleep... so it really didn't
feel like all that much. Then... I think it took me an hour
to run the composite and add the music. I'll add sound fx
after I do some cleanup ^_^

Also... I really suck at video... I know nothing about compressions and formats... as such... my initially HIGH quality render (650+MB) is now INCREDIBLY low quality... I know nothing.
