- What exactly are punjabi's? I've always been lucky I guess
identifying people correctly as punjab, but when I tried to
explain it to my friend I couldn't get much more specific
than "they're usually from west india and pakistan and,
uhhh........uhhh......", it's seems beyond language I'm not
sure how to ID them.

- Around the early 1970's I played accordian on stage with
Alam when he did a tour of the UK. He was a nice guy - my
mother and father respected him greatly. In fact I played
on one or two of his songs which he recorded at the Zella
recording studio's in Birmingham (UK). Lovely memories of
those long gone days!

"Rangeela" - it doesn't matter if there's sardarji's, there
ARE pakistani sardarji's.

- One of the greatest punjabi folk singers of all time, the
legendary Haji Muhammad Alam Lohar singing for the movie
'Khana Jungi' released in 1979. I will never ever forget
him as I grew up watching him as a child, and appear on two
eminent BBC programmes called 'NAI ZINDAGI NAYA JEEVAN' AND
'GHARBAR', which were broadcasted on BBC1 and BBC2.
