- whats 2D? is there a 1D?
- That's an amazing piece of software! What are the prospects
of making it available to the general public? I've got some REALLY old family photos I'd love to try runnig through it;
- Yes, particularly the latest version (a video can be found
on Derek Hoiem's website). Note that these algorithms are automatic and will work well for some images but fail for others.
- I'm glad you're sharing this breakthrough with the YouTube
community. Does Carnegie Mellon's software allow users to move past foreground objects in an image? I used a different program to convert four photos into 3D videos and the result is posted on this site. Do a search on my profile to see the YouTube video. My subscribe box has a link where you can download the software for free.
- Goldberg Variations.
- wow this is preety awesome.
- Sure thing.
- I see what you mean. I thought PS has a new feature that I
don't know about.
thanks for ur reply and for the link pal.
- Oops, mistook on this one. I should have written Photoshop
and/or After Effects, meaning you can do it with PS and AE or just AE. Anyways, here's the link: videocopilot. net /tutorials/3d_vanishing_point/
- I wonder how can I do that in PS .. !! I have cs4. well you
be so kind and link us to a tutorial please ? I wouldn't know how to google this one :)
- shame that it kills the background. that hurts the
achievement needlessly
- @mindrapeart interesting idea : )
- nice software where can i get it?
- lika ya
- Well, the title at the beginning is wrong. Those are not 3D
models, those are simply 2D layers in 3D space. This can be done very easily with After Effects and/or Photoshop. However if it is true and computer did recognize all this by itself, then I agree - it's quite admirable.
Nice choice of music, by the way. It's Bach isn't it?
- They should use this for Google Maps :P
- i'd love to see that done to artwork.
- How to make it? What software are u use??
- I assure you it's full 3D.
- this is semi 3d at best. so zzzzzzzzz
- some kind of advanced displacement mapping?
- Amazing !!!!
- where can i get that software?
- wow, thats amazing !!!
- umm yea... you can only do so much with a 2d image...
