Comments on 'TrackIR Explained' |
- I have trackIR since Dec 09 and there's no delay with a
modern PC.
- ...it's 120 frames per second. The 1/120th of a second
annoys you?
- the half second delay i can see would annoy the backside out
of me
- wtf i never heard of it before! probley gonne buy for dirt 2
- Does this work good with only one monitor?
- @NeoXF im prety sure it is possible in most games Track IR
is supported by many titles over 90 and so is going to be Nvidia 3dvision Eyefinity doesnt requier support by games
- @Newbpwng Good luck making all three working togheter at the
same time in any game, much less a game you like/enjoy.
- Why not get a wiimote and use that instead of forking out on
this crap? its a couple of infrared LEDs and some sensors...
- @MightyMony1
GOD I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT. Especialy in
driving games.
- I love my TrackIR 5. Except
a) it was expensive. Too
expensive. Come on, kids, it's an IR intake system about as complex as a webcam...with more resolution. 150 bucks? Good lord, NP, get over yourselves.
b) Not enough good games. I played FSX and racing games with it. Got very, very old. It has huge potential in so many more games than just racing and flight
- Sitting about 24 inches in front of an 24 inches screen you
already have to move your head. So it's the perfect addon for larger screens. It feels as if the scene on the screen has no limits and reaches beyond the screens surface. It feels very natural.
- i want to do it like this: have Nvidia 3dSurround on 3
monitors with this Track IR and that would be really the closest thing to immerging yourself into game available on the market at the time
- @MightyMony1 my friends move console remotes like that lol
when they fly a plane they always go low or high or turn with the whole remote like its gona help them lol
- This is PERFECT for people who already move their head like
that when gaming . HAHA .
- This must be crazy with eyefinity or any triple display.
- does track ir work well with only one screen?
- For all of those saying that this is useless because you
need to point your gun to where you're looking (arcade style), that is not very realistic. Try walking around without turning your head and see how realistic that is. I've been in numerous situations when playing a game in which I instinctively try to lean forward or lean my head to take a better look at things, of course that does nothing because ingame you see the same perspective.
- That is precisely what this device does, augments reality
within the game so that your natural movements (some) are translated/simulated within the virtual environment (of course it has to be supported by the software). I recently purchased TrackIr5 and it definitely makes you feel more immersed into the game (ARMA2).
Just my 2 cents.
- does the trackir work on headsets that wrap around the back
of yout head instead of the top?
- i see neck pain in the future
- trackir 3 is extremtly cheap, is 4 and 5 much better?
- @Tomcat165 IL2 IS AWESOME!!!!
- Same here i ordered Trackir4 + the clip for christmas gift,
with more then 1000hrs on il-2 it would be like i've reborned,it should come this week.
- Hello, my currently joystick is a Saitek evo cyborg force.
Ive had it for about 5 months and it works great. You should look it up :)
- @MityLite Hey friend, I'm on my second of those joysticks
and I'd like to get a better one, do you know of another that doesn't lose it's calibration?
