- I would definitely like to read that text too, please PM me
if you got it.
- I would shit my self if that clown would sit in front of me
and just stare at me...
- If someone can find the text he is using, please send me a
message!
- You've watched Bullshit it seems. It was PT Barnum that did
this first actually.
- The title of the Lee Earle booklet is "The Classic Reading."
- The author Herb Dewey has a book called "psychic readings".
Im guessing taylor's first name is Samuel. And which book are you talking about when it comes to Lee earle?
- Best not to claim psychic ability, unless you have it, or do
anything that invites her four friends to ask for their own readings unless you've memorized all 52 truisms.
By the way, Forers truisms came from horoscope information as well there was no attempt to match the astrological sign the information came form with the astrological sign of the subject.
- Average accuracy rating for Forer's readings was 4.26 on a 1
to 5 scale. All subjects were given identical readings. Those asked for birth month rated accuracy higher than those who werent, and those asked for birth date rated accuracy highest of all.
The point: the subject should believe the reading is based on something unique to her birthday, palmistry, something she said, or even which finger she wears a ring on, rather than plucked from thin air.
- The title is "Psychic Reading." I bought it (no cover) for
$1. First few pages (including title and copyright pages) came off last time I moved. As I recall it was printed in 1924 and the author's last name is Taylor.
Some truisms used in Forer's 1948 research are very similar to some of Barnum's. There are a dozen of them in The Classic Reading, a 16-page booklet by Lee Earle (1989). One of my favorites is "Your sexual adjustment has presented some problems for you."
- "HE-HE"
- Hi! Thx for the information! Very interesting stuff! Do you
have a name on the book you have?
- all it takes is belief ;)
- This was done by James Randi long time ago. He did this with
people's astrological signs.
- This video doesn´t prove anything. Sure there are cold
readers out there but there are also genuine mediums who can talk to spirits on the other side such as Lisa Williams and James van Praagh for example.
- pedo clown!
- that clown was disturbing.
- derren brown. the power of suggestion is at his side.
This
is awesome how he does it.
- ...and Tarot reader. The vast majority of her clients are
women.) Most of the statements are double-edged, i.e., "You tend to be like this -- but sometimes you are like that." I've read dozens or books and ebooks on cold reading. By far the best source I've found is the "Natural Vibing" CD set by Swinggcat, which has a couple of CDs on cold reading."
