3. Depends how far back one travels. Renee is terrific in many
   roles there is always Victoria de los angeles to put
   everyone in their place as a vocal singer; an impossibly
   talented soprano.
4. brava signora flemming! bravissima! such color and
   heart-felt emotion. when i closes my eyes, i sometimes heard
   and saw maria callas in your interpretation.that's meant to
   be complimentary .

7. chaconazo7 - what are you talking about? Which theater were
   you in? Some barn with bad acoustics? Renee Fleming sings at
   the Met every year which is a 3800 seat theater, and no,
   there is absolutely no mikes at the Met. I saw her in Thais
   and she was wonderful. She has sung at La Scala and all the
   best opera theaters. You may prefer somebody else, fine, I
   personally prefer Angela Gheorghiu in this particular aria,
   but you cannot deny that Renee Fleming is one of the best
   sopranos in today opera.

9. what was that when she uttered 'BAbbino....'! Mrs Flemming
   has no power on her voice. She does ok w/ a microphone but
   without she can't sing. I've seen her life and you can't
   hear her from the other side of the theater until they
   turned on the mics. Sad! nothing compared to the real
   european opera singers.

11. Caballe also the most powerful rendition of all, but this
    version appears to me to be more sophisticated; a sort of
    bridge between the great Caballe and the impossibly talented
    Victoria de los angeles.

14. I'm a Callas buff myself, but Renee is absolutely amazing
    here. Her control is not diminished when she adds expression
    and inflection into her performance, and many opera singers
    are not capable of both at the same time. Brava!

20. I got spoiled listening to Montserrat Caballo for too long.
    I love Renee's voice and the emotion she puts into it, but I
    still love Montserrat for this particular piece.
21. Well I've seen the others versions posted here and the best
    voice control is this one Renee,the others are very good too
    i liked all of them;but this lady is a supreme master.

23. Netrebko's got a beautiful voice but she doesn't have close
    to the control over her voice that Renee has. If you're
    going to pick someone over Renee it should be
    Leontyne...although Renee's my favorite, Leontyne's the only
    one that could even be considered better than her.
24. she sings good, but i personally don't like her voice. my
    favourite performance of this sing is sungby anna netrebko
    ;)
