  2. CAN this problem be fixed? I have alot of cranks made in
    china and I always wonder about the balance and run out.
    Each crank tops out different. What steps or where can i go
    to make sure my two stroke crankshaft is in top shape?

  3. thumper racing`s 280 kit wrecked the wr250 in the end
    .where the barrel was overbored and replated it made the
    lower protrusion weak which then broke totally trashing the
    engine.
  4. be carefull or avoid buying wiseco cranks for kx85. i was
    supplied with wiseco crank for kx85 which turned out to be
    an 80 crank with smaller big end,looked and fitted the same
    but did not last too long. also had much trouble with
    wiseco piston rings for thumper racing`s yamaha wr280 kit.
    the oil rings expander had a very sharply folded ends which
    would break after about 10 hours use.thumper racing were no
    help and always blamed the fitter but rings were redesigned
    in the end

  6. This is great that you did this. I always hated wiseco with
    a damn passion. On top of that they have recalls on alot of
    these cranks. I build bikes for a living and its happend to
    me twice that I had to replace these cranks within weeks of
    splitting the case. I learned my lesson the hard way with a
    few WARNED cheap customers that insisted on saving a couple
    bucks with this garbage. FUCK Wiseco! Hot Rods cranks and
    Vertex pistons should be the only thing you put in you
    motor!!!!

  9. lol you act like if i hopped on a yz450f dirtbike i would be
    completely clueless of what to do. You and your walker isnt
    going to be able to keep up with me on any mx track or in
    the woods old man. I started out on dirtbikes and i still
    own them. Im aloud to ride both arent i? or am i breaking
    the rules
  10. If your faster than everyone try racing with two less wheels
    on your Quad or your truck so that us old guys on mx bikes
    can keep up with your fasterthanyourmouth. This 55 year old
    will compete against you on a MX track, flattrack or woods
    LOL. LOL
  11. Id be more inclined to believe you when you tell me of such
    accomplishments if you werent bitching about something as
    expected as this. Any crank that is not an oem factory crank
    i have had balanced. thats racing tough guy, simple as that.
    takes money, time, and frustration to succeed.

    compare racing accomplishments for a 20 year time period .
    Or compare your Tool & Die Journeymans Certificate. Or 34
    year machine shop accomplishments ?

  15. Hey, why dont you go get it balanced dumbass. Why dont you
    go to hot rods and get a crank from them, you'll find damn
    near as many problems. Go get it balanced for your
    application. Racing isnt a get it and go thing, takes work
    and money. Anybody that doesnt know that when they get
    involved with it will be out of the running quick.

    URL of from the USCPSC: Name of product: Off-Road Dirt Bike
    Connecting Rods or Crankshaft Assemblies Importer: Wiseco
    Performance Products, of Mentor, Ohio Hazard: Engine stress
    could cause the connecting rods to crack and the engine to
    lock up, posing a crash hazard.

    Consumer Product Safety Commission recently.

    and Britain. we need to cut the far east out to get out of
    the global downturn, the skills are here, we don't all want
    to work pushing pallet trucks about as my (British)
    government seems to think!

    question to bad hot rods are junk to o well oem with a
    wiesco top end
  22. I had the tin shear off on my Wiseco crank. These things
    are garbage.
  23. Got the same crank for my 1995 CR250R no problems!!!
    diameter was .004" larger than stock and width was.003" less
    and runout .002"
  24. Anything short of outright malice would not get this crank
    to seat. I heated the bearings (a LOT) and had the crank in
    the freezer over night, and that junk wouldn't go in. It
    took hammering (through a block of wood, of course) to get
    it to seat. And I'm not talking hammering like hammering a
    nail, I'm talking full body, full rotation swings while
    another guy holding the block prayed I didn't miss, because
    he was definitely losing whatever got hit. And then I had to
    get it all to turn.
  25. Do not beat the crank into the bearing they are delicate.
    You must heat the bearing and cool the crank then the crank
    will just fall in with no pounding.
