   where!! I do now and thank Susan! You are GREAT!!!

10. I didn't want to deconstruct this conversation you started
    between us. I originally stated people say dumb ignorant
    things on Youtube, it's a fact. People say things that are
    uninformed or are very ethnocentric (or whatever-centric). I
    just stated that fact sharply. And for the 'insightful'
    part, I'm not going to get into your insults. You can hurl
    them all you want.

18. Agreed, this debate has deteriorated to a petty level. Im
    not a control freak interested in lecturing other posters
    nor am I bashing Ms. Boyle, Ms. Buckley, etc. However,
    those folks posting comments under a stellar EP vid stating
    another performer does it better leave themselves open to a
    coarse rebuttal. To think otherwise is naïve. Perhaps
    comments suggesting another singer owns this song would be
    better posted under a vid of THAT performer.

20. ive seen both and I prefer elaine's, i'm not saying her's is
    best because everyone has their opinion on which one they
    favor. Now if this is just about singing this song live
    without being in cats musical then I prefer betty's but if
    this is song in the musical cats then I prefer elaine's
    because in my opinion she puts more emotion, good acting and
    makes the song more meaninful, I was actually able to
    understand the meaning behind this song when seeing elaine
    sing it in cats the musical

    since some people think Elaine owns this song.. It's a
    matter of opinion people, that's all it is

    really matters, I love Elaine Paige but you cannot say that
    no one performs this number or any other number better than
    Elaine because guess what? That is your opinion, someone
    else may have a different view on who they think performs
    this song better.. It's almost like arguing about religion.
    It's useless and pointless. Stop being a control freak and
    think whatever you say goes because the world does not
    revolve like that.

24. Jeez Louise, people! To each his own? All the singers
    spoken of are fantastic, and have proven themselves. Each
    has their own style. Each voice is different, and will
    affect people differently. We don't have to knock other
    singers than our favorites. Only immature minds do that.
    Didn't your parents teach you to say "I prefer..." rather
    than something tastes bad?" These aren't shower singers!
    Can any of you do better? If so, get to it so we can enjoy
    your rendition as well!
25. To BristolCircle Sorry mate...but I agree with
    AshleyChevy4....Elaine has the edge on this song. Betty's
    voice is incredible...but I prefer Elaine's character
    interpretation of the song more!
