- @musemaster good question. lol
- @karing
yes, it is an actual experiment but no one is
actually getting shocked, they're actors. the experiment is trying to find out how far people will blindly follow their authority figures. no actual harm to anyone, especially to the point of 450 volts, is needed. that would also be illegal. it would kill someone.
- you can download ps3 video games for free. Go To
"ps3bigskydownload. com" I downloaded tons of games and it's and they are excellent!

them earn lowdown relating to Online's project. They hot wire that the studio has tens and tens of millions of dollars as well as close to a hundred inhabitants wrapped up in crafting a World of Warcraft-style MMORPG. Bethesda reportedly has been
- @Absraction @t4214u14me its a experiment!!! they are not
actors...they get electricuted if they get a wrong answer!!!
- uhhhh... wat happned @ 10:26??? n utthn
- lol 10:26
- @musemaster Maybe things are different in the UK.
- uhhh why do religions cmoe to my mind when i watch this?
- @musemaster theyre not actually getting lethal shocks, they
are actors
- how did this get past the ethics departments?
- you wouldnt.
- @PaperMoon2010
You'd be surprised.
- "the power of influence" or "conspiracy theory"? really, it
was interesting! ;-)
- Explains democrats and republicans
- Yeah. I agree. I think youd be going a littl emore than
'Waaah! Ouchie! I need a band aid!'
- I would just fucking walk out of there!!!
- Or to ascertain how the mind works?
- This experiment clearly proves that humans are averse to
electricity.
- @Silver: Think of the boat incident from "The Dark Knight".
That's what I meant. The people would have had every justification to blow up the other boat to preserve their own life. They were just "following orders". But imagine if they did press the button and nothing happened. The people who pressed that button would have to live the rest of their life knowing that they could be tricked into killing someone else just because they would be willing to do so.
- this is an extreme version of peer pressure but a small
scale of what people are really capable of under serious pressure. i found it disturbing, and its easy to judge others from an outsider's viewpoint, but who's to say what any of us are really capable of until we are faced with a difficult decision.
- @mauiboynokaoi
These people had no reason not to stop. No
one was threatening them. They could have decided to stop the experiment at any time.
- @StormWolf01 it wasnt even banned, it just created
controversey. there's nothing illegal about deception in psych experiements, even onces that cause mental distress.
as a psych student myself, i can say that i have participated in a couple of experiements that decieved me and caused some mental distress (i.e. believing someone thought i was ugly). after i learned about the deception i was always glad i participated, even though it was a bit uncomfortable at the time
- my problem with this is that the cries of pain seem so fake.
they guy just protests once each time. i dont get how the 'teachers' actually believe this is real..
- This video was just hilarious.
- Did you know that psychological experiments were designed to
discover how to control human beings?
