3. I agree about Netrebko. Her "Juliette" in the Met's HD broadcasts this year just wasn't anything incredible. In fact, there was one part that was downright bad, if I remember correctly. She's got a nice voice, but I doubt that she will go down in the books as one of the great sopranos. Although, I thought that she sounded better here than I have heard her before.
4. Does anyone ever find it obnoxious when people say that you're an idiot for not sharing their opinion? I find it DREADFUL. At any rate, with Netrebko this happens all of the time. I think she's a decent singer (not great by any stretch). I also don't think sunshine pours out of her...well...you get the point. She's beautiful and has a nice sounding voice (not a great technique to speak of however). I liked this. I didn't think it was the best thing ever, but I like them all here. Good.

6. I love Vargas, I thnk he is one of the most underated tenors around right now, but boy, the Diva here is Netrebko...she is up there with the goddesses and gods of opera...just an amazing singer and personality. She steals the show like Pavarotti used to.

9. For someone who finds me "boring", you seem to have a vested interest in return visits. So you see, you fantasize about flying off into the sunset to see a pair of tits and hear a substandard voice - I get on a plane, and in 90 minutes I'm in Madrid,Dresden, or several other European Cities, where I can see and hear real talent, by singers you've never heard of. Listen, have a great summer in Atlantic City, and don't forget the sunscreen!!
10. Aha! You're pyschic in addition to being hopelessly dim - what a combo!!! I don't "have to work" all summer in Parma - I volunteer my time for the Verdi Foundation, assisting the council on planning future events. I don't scream, I specify directly, there's a difference. I also don't have to pay for accomodations, because I have home there. That's not what I call "having" to work. I believe in my passion for Opera, and I do something to contribute.

21. Do you know the difference between a liric, or a lirico spinto? Have you heard of those terms? Legato, timbre, portamento ring a bell? Those are just a few of the vocal skills that make a great artist. When you call someone a jealous monkey, who is not a singer, but has extensive knowledge, and first hand experience working in this field, you better be able to substantiate your argument with a mininum baseline of knowledge. You picked the wrong bitch to start an argument with about singing.
